Our Vision
Welcome to the world of K+K Kirnbauer. Where aesthetics meet analysis, intuition meets precision, and lightness meets depth. Marlene and Markus Kirnbauer are at the heart of the winery. They bring their own perspectives, strengths and personalities to everything they do and with the shared ambition to create wines that are meant to be experienced, not simply made.
A winemaking couple with character, humor and a clear sense of purpose. They don’t always agree, but they always meet as equals. Their strengths may lie in different areas, but their vision is the same: to create wines that move people, spaces that bring people together, and experiences that stay with them.
K+K Kirnbauer is more than a winery. It is a philosophy. A way of life. And an invitation to experience wine with all your senses.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Winemaking with
Responsibility
K+K Kirnbauer stands for the art of winemaking – rooted in family tradition, inspired by vision and the future. Over generations, our family winery has brought together craftsmanship, sustainability and the courage to think differently.
But K+K is about more than wine. It is about bringing people together, Marlene and Markus, their team, friends and everyone who shares their passion. The “+” stands for hospitality. For opening our doors and welcoming people in. For a glass that is never left empty. And for encounters that stay with you.
„The foundation of great wines is laid in the vineyard. Our secret is meticulous vineyard care and rigorous selection.”

Where Attitude Meets Craftsmanship
At K+K Kirnbauer, design, nature and technology work hand in hand. Markus is a winemaker, visionary and analyst. He approaches wine holistically. Thinking in cycles and processes, always with one clear goal: to bring out the very best in every grape.
For him, Blaufränkisch is not a product, but an attitude – distinctive, precise and authentic. Marlene creates spaces that breathe with an instinct for materials, atmosphere and human connection. Her ambition is to combine aesthetics with meaning and depth.
Together, they create wines that tell stories of origin, respect for nature and the constant pursuit of progress with a smile and a subtle touch of humor.

COMPOSITION IN THE GLASS
The Art of Blending
One of the most important tasks in the cellar is the art of blending.
Each grape variety from each vineyard site is harvested and matured separately. Only then does the process of bringing the individual wines together begin. There is no fixed recipe. Every vintage is different, and every wine develops in its own way. The final blend is created through experience, intuition and countless tastings.
The result? Cuvées that reflect the character of the vintage and the personality of the winemaker behind them. Finding the right balance takes time, experience and a good instinct for the moment when everything falls into place.
