Across 46 hectares of vineyards in some of the finest sites around Deutschkreutz in Central Burgenland, we craft distinctive red and white wines characterised by impressive texture and a velvety, silky smoothness. Markus and Marlene Kirnbauer jointly lead the family winery, cultivating varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, Zweigelt, Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Grüner Veltliner. Gentle handling of the grapes, meticulous berry selection, individually controlled fermentation and careful maturation in barrique barrels ensure exceptional quality – and bring the spirit of Pannonian joie de vivre into every bottle.

In both our vineyards and winery, we are committed to sustainable and organic farming. Protecting nature and conserving resources while keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible is our contribution to preserving ideal conditions for winemaking in Central Burgenland for generations to come.

 

We use 100% renewable energy and keep tractor use in our vineyards to a minimum to protect the soil and preserve the natural environment. We completely refrain from using herbicides and insecticides. Social responsibility and sourcing from regional partners are equally important parts of our approach.

Cuvée

Das Blaufränkisch-dominierte Flaggschiff – ergänzt durch Cabernet, Merlot und Syrah – zeigt sich in dichtem Granatrot. Die gute Viskosität wird durch enge, langsam tränende Schlieren unterstrichen und deutet bereits auf Konzentration und Struktur hin.

In der Nase entfaltet sich ein vielschichtiges Aromenspiel: Amarena-Kirsche trifft auf kühle Minze und die feine Herbe von Vogelbeere. Hochreife Cranberries und Brombeeren sorgen für saftige Fruchtfülle. Erdige Nuancen vom Merlot induziert, ergeben mit Pekan-Nuss und dunkler Schokolade eine warme, tiefgründige Dimension.

Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Wein fruchtbetont und präzise, klar von Kirsche dominiert. Eine feine Salzigkeit und würzige, fast orientalisch anmutende Noten verleihen ihm zusätzliche Spannung. Das Zusammenspiel aus Frucht, Würze und Säure wirkt harmonisch und balanciert. Im lang anhaltenden Finish zeigt sich ein vielversprechendes Tanninpotenzial, das dem Wein Struktur und Zukunft verleiht.

its finest

The “Blaufränkischland” in the heart of Burgenland is one of Austria’s key regions for red wine. In Deutschkreutz, deep clay soils provide ideal conditions for our wines. Their excellent water-retention capacity, combined with the moderating influence of nearby Lake Neusiedl, creates an exceptional foundation for viticulture. Around Deutschkreutz, outstanding vineyard sites produce wines with distinctive personalities.
